A smooth boiler installation is shaped by the property as much as the appliance. Before we arrive, the useful preparation is not technical work. It is making sure we can inspect the relevant parts of the system, understand how your household uses heating and hot water, and identify decisions that could affect the installation plan.

Clear the route, not just the boiler cupboard

The boiler location is only one part of the job. We may need access to nearby pipework, controls, a hot-water cylinder, an airing cupboard, a loft space or the external wall where the flue exits the property. In some homes, particularly older properties in Motherwell and across the Central Belt, pipework may pass through enclosed cupboards or behind stored items.

Remove belongings from around the boiler and create a clear route from the entrance to the work area. Do the same for any airing cupboard, loft hatch or external access point we have discussed with you.
